The Future of Black Creativity Is Already Here.

Founded amidst the historic unrest in 2020, Black Realities began as a bold experiment: a grant program funding Black creatives pushing the limits of virtual reality, augmented reality, and the cutting edge of emerging tech.  What started as a spark is now a nonprofit fueling visionary artists with funding, mentorship, and the tools to bring impossible ideas to life, while producing original content and cultural experiences around the world.

Our work is rooted in the understanding that Black life is never one thing. It’s layered, infinite, evolving, and global. And the tools we use to tell our stories; VR, AR, XR, live performance, animation, film… are as limitless as the worlds we’re living and building. Black Realities is the bridge where culture, creativity, and tech collide so Black stories aren’t just told or consumed; they are lived, felt, and experienced across every dimension of reality.
